When Church School lets out, our little cherubs (ages 3 - 2nd grade) get together with Mrs. Joni in the Worship
Center room and sing together till 11:30. The children love to belt out those worship songs that are special for
children

We also offer a pair of groups
for our 3rd -5th graders. These
are the children that are
responsible for acolyting, which
involves the lighting and
extinguishing of our altar candles.
On Wednesday evenings, while the
other small groups meet, “Youth
on the Move” for 3rd-5th graders
meets with ourMusic Director
Veronica Richards and do crafts,
have snacks and even practice
some songs for special church
services. Children sing in the
worship service several times per
year. Happening Group, for the
same age group, also meets the
first Monday evening of each
month during the school year.

Walking Upside Down (WUD) is the name of the middle (6th -
8th grade) and high school (9th -12th grade) ministries at
Hudsonville Congregational United Church of Christ. Our middle
school WUD meets from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Sunday nights
and our high school WUD meets from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on
Wednesday evenings with Youth Minster Dan Clark for
fellowship and fun! They lend a hand to our parishoners through
Youth Work Days and enjoy outings to places like Craig's
Cruisers. In 2009, our youth hosted banquets with sports icons
like Rudy Ruettiger of Notre Dame.

groups for children
and youth to learn
more about God, to get
to know each other,
and to engage in fun
activities and service
projects.

* Happening Group is
a group for children in
grades 3-5. We meet
monthly on the first
Monday of the month,
from 6:30-7:45. This
group is led by Rev.
Jan Thorsen and Mrs.
Jodi Carlson.

* Middle School Youth
meet on Sunday
evenings from
6:00-7:30 pm in the
Youth Room with our
Youth Leader, Dan
Clark.

* High School Youth
meet on Wednesday
evenings from
6:30-7:30 with our
Youth Leader, Dan
Clark.

Child Care is important to us. Your infants and children through age 2 may be cared for in our Child Care Center,
located just off the Commons near the East doors. Please register all children annually at the Children’s Information
Desk, and complete the daily sign-in information for Child Care. Please be sure to alert the Child Care providers if
your child has any allergies or special needs. Also please indicate who may pick up your child during coffee time at
the close of Worship.
